

Accept all the default settings and then click Install to install the Guest Additions. The DOS machine gets a folder on the C: drive (VMADD) to hold the Guest Additions. VirtualBox Guest Additions Setup Wizard Click the Next button to move though the various steps of the wizard. I don't know about networking but with folder sharing, there's no real need. Virtual PC DOES have a nice set of Guest Additions for DOS though and it tames the keyboard and mouse, and allows folder sharing.

Note that if you are a Mac user running into VirtualBox kernel driver failures, you can typically resolve that with these instructions that are specific to modern versions of macOS like Catalina, Mojave, and Big Sur.

It’s generally easiest to simply get the latest version of both VirtualBox and the VirtualBox Extension Pack.
